The journey opens at Matachica, on a quiet stretch at the northern tip of Ambergris Caye: four nights in a Seabreeze Beach Bungalow set just above the shoreline, with the second-largest barrier reef in the world a few minutes offshore. From there it turns inland to Gaïa: three nights in a Garden View Cabana above the Five Sisters waterfalls, the forest close enough to hear after dark.
Two properties, one family, a single standard of care. Two ways to arrive at the same quiet.
The essentials are taken care of at both ends; everything else is yours to choose, and only as you wish.
At Matachica: a morning on the reef, diving, fishing the flats, or a boat out to Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley. At Gaïa: the ruins of Caracol, a horseback ride through the pines, or the cool water at the foot of the falls. Spa treatments at either property, and transfers between coast and forest, arranged at your own pace.
